Fun day with Kiera

I got a bunch of all-day free ride passes for Nickelodeon Universe (it will always be Camp Snoopy to me) at Mall of America so Chris and I took Kiera in January. We only went on a couple of rides, but we had a great time. We ate lunch at Dick's Last Resort. It was just OK, kinda fun for Kiera, but would be better if she was a little bit older. The food was just OK, and it was super expensive. Overall, not a place I would go again. After lunch, we went to Build-A-Bear so Kiera could make a bear. She picked out Hello Kitty, of course, and she had fun putting her together and picking out an outfit.

We had a girls sleepover at night, and made dinner and brownies! She is a great little cook!!!

Another NY Trip!

I went back to NYC in January for NRF again this year. It's the National Retail Federation Annual Conference. This year I knew what to expect, so I was a little more prepared and learned a lot!

Keith!!!!!!

I LOVE KEITH URBAN! I do. It's true. And my fiance is the one to "blame". Chris got me hooked on Keith (and country music) when we started dating and ever since then I have been seriously obsessed. Our song is even from him! Without You! My favorite! When I found out Keith was going on tour and stopping in Minneapolis, I had to go. He was here a couple years ago and we didn't go and I was sad about that. This time, it was not an option! Chris and I went with Brian and Katie and we had a great time. Keith seriously puts on an AMAZING show. He really cares about the fans and appreciates that people pay a lot of money to come see him so he does his best to make it memorable and special. AH LOVE!

His openers were Dustin Lynch and Little Big Town. I was super pumped to see LBT! PONTOON!

2013 Recap

2013 was a GREAT year. Here are some of the highlights!

New House
Yeah, I know technically we bought it and moved in Dec. 1st, but 2013 was our first official year in the new house. We love it so much and are so happy. We also had our housewarming party in May.

Traveling for Work
I was lucky enough to travel to New York multiple times, and Chicago once for work. I'll continue going to NY, but am hoping to do an international trip this year!

Netflix
Chris and I spent many hours watching great new shows on Netflix.
Our favorite by far is...

If you haven't started watching it yet, stop reading this and watch it!!!!
We are also watching Homeland now and so far, so good.

Traveling
When I wasn't watching TV, I actually traveled quite a bit this year. We of course went to each family's cabin a couple times. I was able to visit my best friend and her family in Madison for a girls weekend and again for her 30th birthday and Chris and I went to Eau Claire with his friends for a "back to college" weekend. What we found out- we are old! :)

I also went to Colorado 2x. The first time was to Blackhawk for Nikki's bachelorette party in August. We had a great time gambling and just hanging out. Then, Chris and I, and the parents, went to Breckenridge for the nuptials of Nikki and Nathan. Gorgeous town and gorgeous wedding.

Getting FIT
I started training for a 5k in June, joined Weight Watchers in July, and ran 2 5k's in September and November. WHO AM I?! I actually kinda like running and I have lost 20 lbs. doing WW. I had wanted to lose weight for a while, so I finally did something about it. It's not as hard as I thought it would be. Obviously, some days are harder than others, but I am super happy with the results! I also recently got a Fitbit Force from work. This thing is awesome! It tracks your steps, calories burned, and sleep. It has been helpful to see where I'm at!

Birthday Celebrations
This was a year of milestone birthdays. Gma Neva turned 90 in June. Chris turned 30 in July and Mom turned 60 in October. We had a big party for Gma at the cabin. She has so many friends!

We didn't do much for Chris, but his Golden birthday is next year, so we will have a big celebration then. And for Mom, we had a little surprise dinner get-together.

I GOT ENGAGED!

Yes, in case you missed it, Chris and I got engaged on July 6th.

I am even more excited for 2014 and what it will bring!

New York in December!

I was in NYC for a meeting at C. Wonder a couple weeks ago and I was lucky enough to spend an extra day in the city soaking up all things Christmas! Christmas time in NYC is amazing!!!!! If you haven't heard of C. Wonder- CHECK IT OUT! It's a great store that offers awesome women apparel, accessories, home goods and all things monogram!
